Seagulls has been an integral part of the Tweed Community for over 40 years and has the honour of being the oldest provincial rugby league club in Australia.

Seagulls Football Club was established in 1908, and started playing football in 1909 and has the honour of being the oldest provincial rugby league club in Australia.

The Football Club purchased land in Tweed Heads West, where the club house and football grounds where built in 1972 shortly after it was licensed.  The home ground was originally called the Chris Cunningham field and changed to Seagulls Stadium in the late 80’s.

The club has evolved into a sophisticated and innovative entertainment and recreational centre, servicing the Tweed and south Gold Coast community.

Facilities include Lot Two, our casual waterfront dining venue, Star Buffet, function rooms,  a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre with creche, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a bottle shop with an impressive selection of quality wines,  TAB, indoor sport centre, a courtesy bus service and a members rewards program. This is all serviced by a car park that can accommodate over 320 vehicles.

seagulls amalgamation with North Sydney Rugby League Club  occurred in 1998. norths also amalgamated with the historic North Sydney Bowling Club, these three clubs form the Norths Group and members can enjoy reciprocal rights at all clubs.

seagulls may have changed over the years but will always pay homage to its rich rugby league heritage as home of the Tweed Head seagulls football team.  In conjunction with such sporting credentials seagulls also hosts a variety of intra-club sporting and special interest groups.
